A second railroad union votes down Biden's tentative agreement

A worker walks along tracks at a BNSF rail yard in Kansas City, Kansas on Sept. 14. Business and government officials prepared for a potential nationwide rail strike earlier this fall before the tentative agreement was reached.

The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen has voted against the agreement brokered in part by the White House in an attempt to prevent a strike. Parties have less than a month to broker a new deal.
